Formerly a principal dancer with The National Ballet of Cuba, Ms. Martinez
has performed the many Classic and Contemporary Masterpieces in the many great theaters around the world such as Scala de
Milano, The Cahmps Elisses Theter in Paris, Metropoltan Opera House in New York, The Beaux Arts Theater in Mexico City, Bolshoy
Theater in Moscow and The Kirov Theater in Saint Petersburg Russia.
Ms. Martinez made her first choreographic
debut on The National Ballet of Cuba. During this time Ms. Martinez served as Artistic Director of the Habana Ballet Theater
Company. Ms. Martinez has lived in Mexico, during which time, she accomplished a 9 year campaign to bring Cuban based training
to Mexican Youth.
Ms. Martinez has choreographed for Movies, Television and both Ballet and Modern dance Companies
and is currently a guest teacher and choreographer throughout for Dance Companies throughout the world. Ms. Martinez is looking
forward to bringing her artistic talents to Hartford during her premier season with The Hartford City Ballet.
