Ruppert Edwards

Performing with Houston Ballet

A native of Jamaica, Mr. Edward's began his dance training at The School of the Hartford Ballet under a Dance City Youth Scholarship. There, Mr. Edward's received classical ballet, modern, composition, jazz & African movement training while studying in the pre-professional program from 1990 to 1998.

Mr. Edward was concurrently a member of The Hartford Ballet's Touring Ensemble Troupe until the school closed its doors in 1998. Credits included featured educational value roles in the local middle schools throughout Connecticut.

Mr. Edward's professional credits include American Repertory Ballet, Boston Ballet II & Demi Soloist with Tulsa Ballet. Among Mr. Edwards repertory include the Cavalier in The Nutcracker, The Eyes that Gently Touch, Silk Screen, Celts, Gala Performances and Vivace.
