Hartford City Ballet began to produce and presenting quality performances in Hartford and throughout New England in 2005. During 2006, the Company presented performance presentations and outreach programs. HCB collaberated with ESPN on a UEFA Soccer finals promo which and aired throughout France and Europe. A team of volunteers, sponsors and supporters created growth in Hartford`s cultural and artistic enrichment. With that support, HCB expanded to include a pre-professional performing arts program; School of Hartford City Ballet.

HCB traveled to Tijuana, Mexico for international exchange of culture and ideas with Cuban artists and has premiered work in Switzerland. Here at home, HCB has hosted the annual Winter Ball, "Le Triomphe De L'Amour," and May 8, has been proclaimed as Hartford City Ballet Day in the Capitol City by the Mayor.

SHCB`s Advancing Academic Achievement Scholarship program provids an educational base in Ballet and the performing arts to students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin, and produces and presents cultural and artistic performances for the community.

HCB received enourmous support from the community and moved daily operations into dance studios on Park Street. A team of volunteers, partners, sponsors, supporters, students and families made possible a move of daily operations to the Performing Arts Center Arts on 420 New Park Avenue to better support our growing team of volunteers, partners, sponsors, supporters, students and families.
